Love, love, love this Albergue💖. Nice, clean, no bunk beds. Comes with towels and sheets. Nice dinner. It’s like coming to a friends house🙏🏽

Clean, cotton sheets on the beds, lovely home-like atmosphere. Only one main bathroom so you need to be patient with other pilgrims. The evening meal was nice, a bit expensive what it was but it was nice to hear Patricia’s story of how she came to open the albergue. Met some lovely people. A positive experience!

One of the few regrets of my cross-country hike from Gibraltar to Galicia was the fact that I overlooked this little gem of an albergue. I had spent most of the 1225km hike sleeping rough on the ground (or in my trusty hammock) while researching for my latest book: Vagabond. I've returned to Astorga twice since (walking the Camino del Invierno andcollecting material for a new Lonely Planet guidebook) and now stay at So por Hoje every chance I get. It's well worth the upgrade! Mark Eveleigh (UK).

Place was clean - lots of steps. She is a mum (single??) and running the Hostal while raising her family. Agree with another post about the scales in the bathroom - what a bonus! Didn't like that we had to pay in cash though. Patricia is very friendly and compassionate. Another pilgrim told me she got sick there and Patricia let her stay an additional night free of cost.

This is an expensive albergue for what is on offer - 10 beds in one attic room with only one bathroom. The dinner does not have a non-meat option and the breakfast is a bag of processed bread and cake and one banana. There are much better options in Astorga.

This is the most beautiful albergue we’ve come across. All facilities are perfect. Before the authentic Brazilian dinner, Patricia (host) will share with guests her inspirational story. And, there is a scale in the bathroom. You can’t tell me that, at this point in your Camino, you’re not wondering how much weight you’ve lost!

Stayed here last night in a private room with a shared bathroom that only 2 rooms used. It was wonderful, the room had a double bed & a single but most important there was both an air conditioner & a fan. A real treat. The bedroom even had a kettle, Bathroom was large & the bath was huge which had rails so if you’re concerned about getting out they will help you. Would stay here again.

I felt like I was being welcomed into the home of an old friend. This place is nice and the host makes this a wonderful experience. Best sleep I’ve had for weeks. Great vibe. Sit out on the patio after dinner. Very relaxing.

The host Patricia is super nice and turned a flat into a hostal! There are 10 singular beds with super comfy sheets and blankets and a breakfast included that had toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, etc. However, it’s a little overpriced in my opinion. I would happily pay 20 euros, not 28. Patricia cooks a dinner when 4+ people sign up for it. But, it’s rice, black beans and chicken in broth…for 17 euros. One course meal with store bought dessert. It’s good, but probably costs 4-5 euros max per portion. I recommend but it’s not budget friendly. There’s also only one bathroom for ten people. It’s a very nice bathroom and shower (and there was even a weight scale if you want to weigh yourself), but difficult to share in the morning.
