My husband and I stayed here. Was a horrible experience. Very very rude staff. Would not give us two towels, asked if we had paid for two when I replied yes she still wouldn’t give us an extra towel. I slipped over outside the next morning and attempted to wipe my clean clothes down from the mud, our bag was packed and LOCKED and ready for transport. Afterwards I tried to tell the lady that there was a dirty towel in the shower basin. She kept shutting me down so we just left. When we arrived in Burgos and unpacked our bags the lady had opened our locked bag and put the dirty towel in our bag. What the heck. Such an invasion of privacy and illegal. DON’T STAY HERE

The staff were quite unfriendly and unhelpful - I would keep walking next time.

This is a modern and very comfortable albergue in a peaceful rural village. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The pilgrims menu costs €12 for three courses of home cooked food and lots of wine. There are 4 or 5 courses of starters and main courses.

The bar, serving good food and drinks, is open most of the day, with some great outside space for good weather.

Thoroughly recommend.

This albergue was very nice. The group room had 3 single beds and one bunkbed. It also had its own bathroom with shower and cubies for packs and gear. Each bed had some soap and shower gel on the pillow.
The dinner had a couple options to chose from and wasn't to bad.

Private room was nice enough for the price. Host was not super friendly to anybody. They seemed annoyed nobody pre-bought breakfast so they didn’t even open the bar at 7am like they said they were going to. We all thought we could get coffee and a pastry before heading out. When asked about it in the morning, host once again seemed annoyed and blew us off. Worst part was getting food poisoning from the chicken at dinner. Stomach was absolutely wrecked in the morning and all the next day. I’m sure some people have a great experience here, just not us.

Loved the space! There was a green space out front to enjoy. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The shower/restroom was clean and tidy. Good pilgrim’s dinner with plenty to eat. What a treat!

We skipped over staying in Ages or Atapuerca to get that hill over with and be a little closer to Burgos in the morning and we didn’t regret the choice at all. The private room for “parejas” on the Santa Fe Hostel website is the most clean, peaceful, enjoyable place we’ve been in so far. From what we saw of our options at the other albergue in town and those up the hill, this place is the best. The woman who took care of us was very helpful throughout our stay especially considering she seemed to be taking care of a bunch of pilgrims and every local in town at the same time, cooking, serving drinks, and taking care of the albergue side. As someone else mentioned, I don’t know if the entire menu posted on the wall was available, but that said, our pilgrims menu for 13 euro was fantastic. A real salad and no French for was a nice change.
