I stayed in the albergue here 19 May- the room was ok, bathroom clean, food was more expensive than the typical pilgrim menu and not as good, three “choices”, only one of which was available, and the alternative offered was pretty poor.

All I can say is I made the mistake of using the blanket. All my gear is treated and this is the first time I tried a blanket. I won’t make that mistake again. I didn’t see bugs but it sure felt weird.

This is a great place to stay! Staff is very nice and helpful. The price listed here for an individual room is wrong. I got an individual room, and it was €40. The room wasn’t very big, but more than adequate for one person. The shower was a problem though. No matter how you set the water spout, the temperature would flip between cold and hot. It was like the cold and hot water didn’t mix together, instead it would be a burst of hot followed by a burst of cold. The in between temperature was ok, but on the bursts, it was freezing cold and burning hot. The outdoor patio is very nice with lots of seats/tables and plenty of shade. There was also a periodic mist of cool water that felt nice in the heat of the day. I would recommend staying here.

Booked a private room. It was very spacious. Bed was comfortable, there was a good hot shower, also had a water boiler and coffee and tea sachets. Had a good rest here!

Camino de Sant…

Spacious room with two bunk beds overlooking storks above the church. Clean, quiet. Great fish and veal, if your going to eat there though, at €15, one of the most expensive peregrino menus we’ve encountered

Camino de Sant…

Courtyard has a very calming atmosphere, a great place to recover from the Camino. Pilgrim’s dinner came with an entire bottle of wine. Village was quite loud on a Friday night, but that can’t be helped.

Camino de Sant…

September 2020. Walking the more pleasant route, I discovered that this ‘albergue’ is closed except for private rooms. Walk on pilgrim and take a right turn after 6 km. This will take you to San Martín del Camino where there are albergues aplenty!
