The owners were lovely. They spoke French and English y un pocitito de español. They waited up for me even when I missed my train. I rushed in on the last train to make the the 8pm check in (and missed the deadline by almost 20 minutes and they were very understanding, not that it is suggested-I am just a very slow walker and it was hot). The property was rustic cute. The chickens and ducks had a sweet little treehouse in the yard with lots of flowers. One owner gave me a ride into town when he saw me on the road headed down to get my credentials. It is up the first hill out of SJPP on the Camino with the first big shell on the road, so you feel like you have a bit of a head start! The English speaking owner was very helpful in getting me started on the way and answered all of my random questions patiently. They have some private rooms, a yurt (unavailable in heat), and a dorm where each of 10-12 beds has a shelf, a light, and a plug. (Some beds even had their own windows!) The views from the breakfast table are outstanding! Coffee outside with some of your first glimpses of the Pyranees! Yes please! Kind and gentle, slower paced, not a huge bustling Alburgue. A clean blanket and bedding provided. No longer is there a washer or dinner option. Both of those in town, plan accordingly. Enjoy

Would not stay here again. Very minimal furnishings. One large room for singles, no privacy. I wish there was something positive I could recommend. $6.00 for cup of coffee, bread, & small juice for breakfast. Not counting the butter & jelly.

Camino de Sant…

Lovely owners with amazing atmosphere. The rooms are small and heated. You’ll feel at home. Only downside is that it’s a little outside of town. The owner saw me walking towards it and gave me a ride which was nice. The supermarkets were already closed when I got there, so they made me a cup of soup. Definitely recommend. Perfect if you want to walk the Route Napoleon as this Albergue is directly on this route.
