This was our first time in an Albergue, and I hope they are all like this. Host was very nice and spoke English (we are struggling with Spanish). Sleeping was in a large room with bunk beds. Disposable sheets are provided along with a pillow and blanket. Everything was clean and we slept okay given the unavoidable sounds from 30 other people in the room. Early risers starting getting up around 6. It’s 10 euros each, so 20 for the two of us. I’ve paid more for a state park campsite in the US.

Contrary to the previous comments we found this Albergue to be clean, well run, with hot water showers and comfortable beds. The cost of €10 per pilgrim included a sheet andm pillowcase cover. This Albergue is well positioned on the route and close to the main interests of Aviles. It was nearly full only 1 or 2 beds open and the space worked fine.

Avoid at all costs. Worst service i’ve experienced my entire trip.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

I arrived after a long walk and due to a rude non welcoming man who inspected my credentials perigrino passport like he was airport security, told me I’m not welcome because I only had approx 12 stamps (walked from Bilbao) and I needed to show more from where I started! This is the first time I’ve experienced this! And it’s not my first Camino! Just not a nice person after a long hard day walking in 35 degree heat! How people are so cruel il never understand

the albergue is open again (been there 06/04/2019), all details correct except the capacity (only 48 places). very cosy, yet it closes for the night (from 22.00). kitchen there, a lot of dishes but only 2 small stoves, washing mashine costs 3,5.

Camino de Sant…

My friend and I stumbled upon this place because we were tired, hungry, and needed a bed. I wish that we would’ve walked further and found a better one. It was smelly, dirty, messy, and incredibly hard to sleep in. We were awoken several times throughout the night and had difficulty continuing to sleep after 4am, when the people around us started gathering their belongings and shaking the beds ferociously. If you can, try and stay elsewhere. Your body will thank you. That being said, there is a washer and a line to hang clothes. Outlets are available and there is WiFi.
