Our private room had one of the most comfortable beds and a huge bathtub. The breakfast was also great with many options.

The host Anabela is every welcoming. The facilities are exceptionally clean. Fantastic breakfast supplied. Would highly recommend as a very comfortable stay on the Camino.

Anabela is a sweet woman who runs a lovely establishment. Clean, hot shower, sheets, towels. Good breakfast for only 5€ extra.

Rates is a beautiful town with good restaurants.

We had a double and a single bed in our room with a private bathroom next door. There was a screen to ensure our privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. There was a small balcony which overlooked the garden area at the front. Anabela is lovely and very friendly. It was a great place to stay whilst walking the Camino. We ate at a nearby restaurant, there is a cafe and a small shop very close by.

Superb!
Casa Anabela is a beautiful, modern property and I had a suite with a fabulous walk-in shower for €40. The room has a balcony, overlooking a garden, perfect for sitting in the early evening.
Anabela is the most wonderful host, who went out of her way to make my stay memorable. As soon as I arrived she poured me delicious home-made lemonade. For breakfast she bought me gluten-free foods and made me scrambled eggs. She is the kindest and most generous person I have met on the Camino Portuguese. Thank you Anabela, I shall never forget how well you cared for me. Hélène
