I was here July 2024. The woman who worked at the reception seemed nice and helpful. I booked a room for myself and it was very nice and quiet, I had a very good sleep.
There are several nice restaurants nearby with really affordable prices.
If you are doing Camino I can surely recommend this place

Lovely old building and grounds. We paid €21 per person for a double room, basically like a college dorm room. Shared bathrooms. Everything clean and quiet. Note that the price when you book upon arrival is cheaper than if you book online in advance (€25 in advance), and there were tons of empty rooms when we were here. Washer and dryer on site, microwave but no kitchen. Close to 2 large supermarkets and several restaurants/bars. :)

We had a private bath with two twin beds for 60 Euro. Common sitting room but no kitchen or frig. Shower was weak but it was in the right place at the right time on a rainy day. Anna checked us in and was very helpful and patient and gave us the history of the building. Lovely garden area and covered spaces if it’s raining.

Leider keine Küche oder Kühlschrank. Gemeinschaftsbad auf dem Flur. Zimmer sind nicht gereinigt. Einrichtung im Stil der 70er Jahre. Empfehlung: Die Google Rezessionen lesen. Es gibt auch kein Frühstück gegen Aufpreis!!!

I rarely complain but I'm extremely unhappy with this place ... they charged €60 for a dorm room. An absolute blatant rip-off because there's limited places to stay in the area for pilgrims. No hot water, no air con or heating, desperately in need of a refurb, no TV. Clean, but that's the only positive.

For €60, I expect a decent standard. For example, stayed in Hotel Monumento in A Guarda two nights earlier for the same price ... beautiful huge room, hairdryer, private terrace, huge bathroom AND buffet breakfast. How this place thinks €60 is fair is beyond me. They refuse to refund a cent.
Looks good from the outside but do not be fooled. I wouldn't recommend at this price in a million years.

For 18 € each you get your own single room or a double room , Enjoyed a bath , shared bathrooms , each floor has a sitting area and the dining area on the bottom floor . Lovely gardens to relax , if not raining . ❤️

the hostel looks insanely beautiful at first sight.
The wing in which the pilgrims are accommodated is old and used, light-hearing. Very very simple. However, 18€ per night per pilgrim is quite expensive.

I booked this hoping to find a unique setting along the way. Yes the outside of the building is beautiful but it didn’t reflect on the rooms in the inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is near markets and restaurants.
