A good first stop on a challenging up and down day. We were hot from the elevation and grabbed some cold drinks. My friend is vegan and they accommodated her with a tomato and lettuce sandwich that she dressed up with some extras in her bag. We were thankful it was open as someone who traveled this coastal route a few days ahead said nothing was open until Cadavedo.

From Soto de Luina to Albuerne is at least 3,5 km not 1 and from Albuerne to Novellana you will have to go all the down and up the hill again. Also there is a very dark Tonnen and jumping through the river experience on the way.
Take care

A charming albergue ,an authentic pilgrim hospital, it has everything you could ask for in a albergue, starting with the hospitalera, Luz, she was understanding and attentive to what the pilgrim may need. In my case, I met a pilgrim in the albergue who I had already met in Muros de Nalon and who was a snorer, and he hadn't let me sleep the night before. I told the hospitalera and she put me in a different room.
The 7 o'clock dinner is great and only €10.
Each bed has its own light and plug to charge a cell phone.

Best albergue since we started in Irún...hosts were so kind and friendly...they did our washing for us...we had an extraordinary pilgrim meal for 10€...super clean and cosy place! Located in the old train station...just exquisite!

This might be a good place if all went smooth, but we had some problems on our way and we didn’t manage on time and they closed. In a way, it is their right, but it is all about the attitude. The way these communicated with us was not nice too. We reserved a private room and were ready to pay quite a big price.

We are thankful for hotel el Fornón. The booking showed that it is not available, but before 23:00 we went in the hotel and asked them in person if they have a place. They were so friendly, caring and at the end this all tuned out much better for us. Breakfast included, cheaper. We highly suggest this hotel. Atmosphere is wonderful and you will enjoy the care and hospitality of a wonderful woman who works here.

Very nice place inside of a renovated train station. Amazing showers separate from toilets. The dinner was delicious for 8 euros. Highly recommend.

Camino de Sant…

Here we were met with friendliness, good practical solutions and delicious food. This place and it's hosts, deserve a lot of guests. Our little group of 8 recommend this place to all pilgrims.
