This is the best albergue I’ve been to. Cheap ans clean. The people running it are so friendly and welcoming. Booked private room without bathroom + dinner = 37 euro. And the room had a view of the mountains and towels. Food was great. Amazing!

This is a quirky place. Staircase to top floor was like climbing a ladder. With a full rucksack! One pilgrim almost fell making the hairpin turn to the top! This is in the Attic - sloped ceilings. Watch your head getting out of bed! All cots but quite uncomfortable, pillows are like flat pancakes. Wool blankets full of holes. Showers are TERRIBLE. Sketchy hot water, handle came off when adjusting temperature, floor surface super slippery.
The pilgrim meal was lentil soup with a few pieces of chorizo, cheap way to fill stomachs, and our non-vegetarian chicken green curry barely contained chicken. And there was not enough for a second helping. Owner just shrugged.
Would not recommend.

We booked a private room. The beds were incredibly comfy and the building very very sound proof! We had a balcony with a small balcony. Lovely room! Dinner was yummy as was breakfast. This beautiful hamlet was worth the long hike up

Deze Alberge was geweldig! Vriendelijke mensen, die ook Nederlands konden spreken.
Het diner was erg lekker; we kregen drie gangen! Erg lekker. 🍽️🍷
Hier zou ik nog wel een x heen gaan!👍

Very friendly staff. Lovely communal meal included in price, served a curry which was a change from usual pilgrim meals. Breakfast served from early. Perfect spot to catch the sunrise.

I am in town right now, and was looking forward to staying at Monte Irago. However, there is a sign on their door that says closed until 24.08, if I am reading the Spanish correctly.

I missed out on a bed here but came for the shared dinner. This was a welcome change in menu from the usual pilgrim fare. Really friendly place, and an opportunity for a multi-lingual singalong.

A glorious refuge just when you need it. Roaring fire, stein sized beer, lovely dinner with full sing along with generous wine. Boot room, back garden and outdoor seating for fine weather - warm, jovial inside with baked treats for the snow. Recommend!
