Labruge is a small seaside town, and most services (including the albergue) are located off the camino.

The Road

At the end of town is the Avenida Da Libertade, turn right here to get to the albergue or continue straight along the beach walk. Arrows are sparse, but a few point the way to the Castro of Sampaio.

We stayed here Oct 18, 2024 it was the first night of the Camino. The hosts were kind and very welcoming. The room had its private bathroom. Everything was super clean, room was cozy and bed was comfy. Breakfast was yummy and they even packed a lunch for us. We would definitely come back, it was one of our favourite places to stay along the Camino. We highly recommend! Nancy & Louis from Québec, Canada.

This is my 3rd camino and i have had plenty of great hosts, but Elizabete and Fernando are beyond great. Best hosts i have experienced. They could not do enough for us including adapting breakfast to suit my daughter's severe allergies. The rooms were beautiful and clean and our breakfast was superb. Elizabete not only took our washing and washed and dried it for us but also took the time to talk us through our next days walk, highlighting the "must stop and see" points of interest. She was fabulous. Can't rate higher

If you can, stay at Smiling Places. Elizabete, the owner, is a Camino angel: so warm and welcoming! She organised a taxi for us to get to a Decathlon as well as helping us to order pizza delivery (we arrived in the middle of a storm). Room and breakfast were both excellent.

We had a really nice stay at this Albergue. The host Annabelle was fantastic. She even very kindly helped me with blisters on my feet. Rooms are big nice with a disposable sheet and pillow case. We only used the bathroom facilities but they were nice and it was good have a locker right near the bathrooms.

Maria was our host and she was fantastic! Explained everything well.. easy check in.. wash and dry or wash and hang outside available and reasonable, breakfast included. But we were leaving early because of hot weather- so Maria made us a sandwich the night before & had cake and fruit ready for us so we could get an early start. She so called around to check on dinner options for us as we there during Portugal holiday season. Service above and beyond.

We booked the King Suite as we wanted a private bath. It was more expensive than most hotels on our route (151 euros). Not much else to choose from in Labruge. We are an older couple and are walking shorter distances. Clean, quiet and has a kitchen you can use. We found a supermarket a few blocks away. Fairly close to the Camino.

Great place, very clean and new. A dryer and wachine machine. A little supermarket near. At 900 m of the beach. Great kitchen to cook, no breakfast (you do your own). Around 12 beds in dormitories with sheets. Really good ! Nice ambiance. A must to see and stay !!!

This is an excellent place to stay. Recently renovated and plenty of beds, very clean facilities and lovely staff this is one of the best. Very close by is a mini market and a very good snack bar. Highly recommended.
