The host was amazing. They have gone through a very difficult process to get rid of the old bed bugs. I did not have a problem with bugs.

Bed bugs. Many people left after seeing the bed bugs. They are rampant. Got bitten and still trying to get rid of them. The bed bugs are the deal breaker for me. It made me feel terrible. Definitely should avoid this place.

This is the wrong picture for Albergue Atrio. This is actually the picture for albergue Lemos. Albergue Atrio is beautiful and wonderful.

We booked a room here and we’re very excited when we arrived — this albergue is beautiful and has a great charm. When making his bed, my partner found a large bedbug on top of the mattress. We let the host know, and he came to investigate. He tried to say that it was impossible that the bedbugs were there, since there were sticky traps and wells at the base of each bed (all filled with a few bedbugs already) and told us that we must have brought the bugs in. He brought in a small fumigation machine and told us to wait 20 minutes. When we got back in the room, we immediately noticed more bedbugs crawling on the floor and several more fell on our beds. I overheard the host talking to the owner in Spanish and he said “they cannot stay here, there are too many bugs.” However, when we went back in the room, he told us “as long as you don’t see more, you should be fine now. Bedbugs cannot climb walls or up to the mattresses.” We decided not to stay there, and found a space in another albergue. I have no doubt that this would be a wonderful stay in better conditions, but I urge the owner to take the bedbug problem seriously and take the time to properly fumigate before renting more rooms.

I’ve now stayed at the Atrio (pic is wrong) 3 times. New owner, Denis, is very nice. The place is clean and feels very welcoming. At first I was disappointed that Susan was no longer there, Denis is a great replacement.

I enter The town and take an Albergue elsewhere. I walk around and find the Atrio bar. I start chatting with the owner, Denys(?). I decide to come in for a beer. He is personable. After a while he brings me a free plate of tapas. I’m thinking, ‘crap, I wish I had stayed here’. My experience is limited to the bar right at the entry but watching the owner interact with clients, this is a place you’re going to want to stay.

The owners are kind and helpful. The place is VERY clean and beautiful. The building is old but with many modern updates. They washed my clothes for me and hung them to dry for 4 euro. Beds were clean and comfortable with real sheets that they give you upon arrival. Blankets available for free. Small but very functional kitchen. Beautiful garden to hangout in. No food or drink at the moment but many great restaurants around to choose from. Highly recommend!

We didn’t stay due to this incorrect listing. Friends stayed and shared their photos - looks gorgeous. The albergue pictured is not correct. I am guessing the comments are incorrect as well as this is a very nice place. The one pictured is Lemos
