Arrived at around 2:00, it was raining out and chilly. There was no one here to check us in. Three of us called the number to let them know we were waiting to check in. She did not arrive until about 45 minutes later. Clothes were soaked and knew they would not dry overnight so paid nine dollars to have them washed and dried. She returned them still wet and I politely asked if she could put them back in the dryer and she still returned them wet. Others were trying to find her as well with no luck. Do yourself a favor and keep walking.

The little grocery store across the street had the sweetest woman working there. I do recommend stopping in there for a cup of coffee.

Linares is a two business town. 2 albergues. The Linar Do Reí has a small kitchen to cook in, bring your own coffee as the vending machine doesn’t work. A tienda across the street has a few supplies. Best to get what you need in OCebreiro - more atmosphere and energy.

If you didn’t fuel up in O Cebreiro, be prepared to intermittent fast until Hospital de La Condesa.

Very rainy, windy afternoon in Linare. We stopped to get dry & get a cup of coffee. Woman working there was very sweet & helped us by calling a cab for us. Tienda has wine/beer, deli & personal items. Very grateful for her help.

Albergue is comfortable, but if you want to do washing in the machine you have to walk all the way back to the bar to buy soap.

Small, built-for-camino experience. I recommend the place for very comfortable facilities and a pleasant ambience. Dinner is a bit tricky-shop across has everything you need and the cafeteria inside the albergue is gorgeous but don’t expect a restaurant meal in this small town. Overall, 2 thumbs up.

Don’t judge this book by its cover, lovely and clean. Lounge area has huge windows overlooking the expanse of countryside
