CLOSED FOR THE 2025 SEASON
After much thought and careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to take a break this season at La Cala. Running the Pilgrim’s Inn has been an incredible journey, but it has also been deeply exhausting, both mentally and physically. I’m not yet sure what the future holds, but I may decide to open next season or maybe just one last time for the holy year in 2027, but that is still a way down the road.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, support, and beautiful moments you’ve shared with me along the way. You have made La Cala so much more than just a place—it’s been a home filled with laughter, connection, and the spirit of the Camino.
I may see you again down the road. Until then, buen Camino.

Highly recommended. Super sweet and helpful host. The accommodation is fantastically beautiful, clean and you will lack nothing. Arrived here soaking wet after a rainy day. Being able to wash and dry everything. Slept wonderfully and was spoiled with delicious croissants in the morning.

A beautiful house for tired pilgrims. Washer and dryer are god sent for drenched pilgrims arriving like us. Tanya is responsive. Love the fresh pastries and the Nespresso coffee in the morning. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to do much wandering around.

Tanya Valdes à « La Cala Inn » est le choix d’hébergement le + avisé à effectuer à Oia.

Non seulement son hébergement pour pèlerin(e)s est au top & d’un excellent rapport qualité-prix, mais elle fera absolument tout pour rendre votre séjour impeccable.

Malheureusement pour elle, les 2 restaurants voisins sont très loin d’avoir le même niveau d’excellence, à des prix indécents, surtout si vous arrivez du Portugal…

Tanya is a wonderful hostess. Her albergue is very welcoming. She has a beer or lemonade for you upon arrival. Bagels and cream cheese AND towels were included in the price. I cannot recommend her enough! Buen Camino!

I made Lacala Inn my rest place for a day and couldn’t be more happy about it. Tanya has created a wonderful place to rest. Comfy beds (no bunk beds), everything is super clean (I saw the cleaning done and it is just like from a 5 star hotel), possibility to wash clothes, good showers, coffee and fresh pastry in the morning, a welcome drink upon your arrival… It has also a super nice back yard with excellent sunset view. The town is more than lovely. And this place does have a soul. Couldn’t recommend more. Sandija

Tanya is a fantastic host and the hostel feels like home. So comfortable in so many ways. Oia is small but beautiful and well worth the stop.
