I was nearing the end of my 1,225km hike from Gibraltar and was grateful just to get a bed in this huge albergue. I'd been averaging 35km/day since I set out from Gibraltar and could have slept sounfly on a bed of nails. It's not great but it delivers what it promises... at minimal cost.

Met 4 people who had just money stolen from them in the middle of the night.

Their money belts were close to them or in their backpacks,… not on them.

The thieves went into their bags and wallets, took only cash, zipped up their bags and left.

They reported to be disturbed and partially wake up around 2am, but rolled over and went back to sleep.

Some People have been robbed in This albergue in the Night while sleeping. The Doors are NOT locked. We have talked to someone in the next town and they Said it had happend before in This albergue. So be careful and sleep with your money close to you. It was 4 people and over 350€. And over 2 nights

No need for curtains in the showers as they are shower stalls, place is nice and bright. Lots of clothes lines. Located in the most amazing location! 10 E for bed. Son says kitchen still has no dishes but there’s no where to buy groceries in town anyway so doesn’t really matter. Each bed has its own light and at the bottom of the light is a plug place for USB. Bunks are a little too low for comfortable sitting under.

There can be no doubt about it that this is the most souless, worst designed hostel on the Camino. The architect had obviously never been to or stayed in one before!! They make you climb the stairs to register, then walk down to the basement to remove your shoes, then back up 2 flights tp rooms, then down to the basement to shower. If that's not bad enough, the showers have no curtains or doors, no temp guage & are absolutely freezing until you keep the button pressed for ages. Avoid unless last resort.

Its clean, check in was quick. Once checked in the staff will not acknowledge you. I saw four people asking about wifi and they just shooed them away with their hands (there is wifi its just a registration process). Nice kitchen but useless as there is nothing at all to cook or eat with.

For some reason only the first line of my review yesterday uploaded. No need to book at the moment lots of space. 8 euros currently. Showers still don't have doors. Kitchen is great but literally no crockery mugs etc !
