Opens @1, great value for EUR10 if you can get a bed they take reservations ahead. Very kind hosts that seem to speak an inordinate amount of languages fluently. Mostly lower bunks, blankets available to rent for EUR2. Stamp at the monastery was beautiful and the food portions in the bar beside it are huge and very good value - I took half home for my breakfast the next day

Ok first, had it all to myself in winter, so your mileage may vary, but the staff were extremely helpful, just had to call and they drove up in minutes. The beds were clean, they’ve got a washer and dryer on premises (€3 for each, bring change or ask staff) and they seem very vigilant about cleanliness. Had my choice of blankets and beds, was warm and comfy (though maybe stay further from the south wall if your sensitive to noise, there’s a security camera outside that beeps occasionally. Good WiFi and vending machines (coins again), which you might want to take advantage because there’s not a lot on the next stage for several km.

The staff was wonderful, kind and super helpful. Clean facility however you should prepare yourself for dinner because you may be on the menu. There were unfortunately bedbugs when we stayed at the albergue, October 2024

This is now a private albergue that has 17 beds. They take reservations. Clean and nice!

Turned up to the Albergue just after 2pm, no beds available, reservations were required. Hospitalero couldn't help us with any advice as what to do regarding accommodation.
The number listed for the hostel here is incorrect.
Fortunately got the number of a lady with a pension and she picked us up and drove us to the pension. +34 653 68 41 44 - casa vacacionel bianco.

We showet up at 17 pm.
Made a reservation with Victor for to beds.
Unfortunately the albergue made a mistake and there were no availaible beds.
David was very helpfull - he arranged taxi to the albergue in Vilanova and back the next day and told that the albergue will pay for the mistake.
Later we were told to pay the taxi our self. To pay for the mistake. We will recomend to find another place to stay.

We called to book the beds in advance. Helpful man David answered all our questions. Alberge has washing machine, fridge and microwave. It is possible to book breakfast. Clean place.
The only thing is that the beds were a bit shaking.

Looks newly built or renovated. Modern showers etc. But standard older metal bunks along the walls with pack of single use sheet and pillow case - you’re packed in a bit. They have about 5 blankets to give it to those who ask, and you can ask when you book. Otherwise, you go without. I imagine it gets warm in the dorm as it’s more bed than space! But if you get a little chilly in the small hours, it’s not ideal. But it’s really clean and tidy. The hostel is in a village parking lot, with nothing to do once you get there, so I would check in, and either rest up or head back to the monetary and lovely vibrant cafe, to relax. The next days walk is lovely right from the start so you could also check in and then head onto the path to see the lovely water falls and river to cool off your feet.

(If you can get a group together, you could also head on to the Hostel Santa Baia 10km further who do a pilgrim rate for 2-4 people. See their website. They speak no English. The monastery and cafe is a far nicer place to spend the evening though.)

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

I have been there May 21st in 2022. The albergue was full and 2 people where sleeping on the floor. The upper beds are not secure there and one of the pilgrims felt down and they called an Ambulance car. The hospitalieros was great but the alberge is just too small for all the pilgrims coming there.
