Briallos

Located along a deviation of the camino, well signed. It adds a few meters to the journey but has a municipal albergue in a quiet town.

The Road

Before arriving at Briallos, the camino approaches the N550 once more. At this point, there are signs for the Natural Park of the Rio Barosa, and the waterfalls. The waterfalls are 500m down the road directly opposite this point and are a worthwhile detour. Picnic areas and a bar and bathroom are at the base of the falls.

We stayed here for a night and it was wonderfull! We had a lovely diner and laughs with Pedro. We didn’t experienced anything from above.

The beds are good, there are extra blankets, beer and soda and gooda warm showers.

Can only echo previous comments - basic auberge with weird and slightly rude host. Despite the collective dinner I would not stay there again. Basic breakfast.

The Host told me the Albergue is now private a no longer Municipal. Reservations may be required.

Great community feel and dinner but the host was rude and weird

The place appears to be friendly with communal dinners, a real camino experience but unfortunately, Pedro was rude and condescending with a "do as you're told" attitude towards the guests as if you're at school.

Camino de Sant…

Walked up here to use facilities and cafe but no joy - waterfall is nice for a dip though

Camino de Sant…

The host was very unfriendly and didn't help for further assistance. He only said:No beds. While waiting for taxi other pilgrims came, having reservations, although it says: No reservations possible!

Camino de Sant…

So worth the extra 500meters off the Camino route. Beautiful. Cool. And a little bar/ restaurant. When you see a glass “ bus stop” it’s time to cross the road and head off to the waterfall.

Camino de Sant…

Really nice place to stay. There are 16 beds in the mail building, but he has a building in the back of the yard for overflow - I think enough room for 35 total. Great stop on the Camino!

Camino de Sant…

Hidden gem! We wanted to walk from Rdondela to Padron in two days instead of three and didn't expect s lot from this Albergue (not even wifi). This is the best one of my camino (Lisbon to Santiago). Cozy, warm, feels like home, fireplace and shard dinner and breakfast. 8€ plus all the food is donation.
