There is a Roman Villa (what remains of one) to the north of town, if you are staying in town it makes for a good afternoon trip of about 800m each way.

Notice

There are no services along the next 11km to Conímbriga. Stock up in Rabaçal, the night before if you have to.

The Road

Keep on out of town along the road and turn right where indicated in the direction of the Castelo de Germanelo. A turn to the left appears 900m down this road. Turn there and follow a well-marked set of trails all the way to Zambujal.

Camino de Sant…

Great hostel with new beds, bathrooms and a nice small pool, which is a blessing after a long walk. The O Bonito coffee shop had a great homemade vegetables soup and many local cheeses and sausages to buy and eat there or take with you.

We got to stay in their new upstairs area. It was the best shower the Camino! We also had a great $7 pilgrim meal at their restaurant a few blocks down. Get the meat rather than the fish.

Albergue Bonito has a small wading pool that is great after a long hike. Very comfy place with good meal.
