We stayed in the room with a king bed and en-suite. It was lovely, comfortable and spacious. It cost €58 cash for the night.
Our only issue we had which was very frustrating… no hot water in the afternoon when we wanted to shower and again in the morning. When requested, the hot water was turned on but we had to wait 20 minutes for it to warm up. Not good especially after getting cold and wet in the shower before realizing there was no hot water.

Irene welcomed us as if we were family. The rooms were beautiful. The house is like a museum. It was very convenient to be next to Venta Celta for dinner and lunch because it did not stop raining with wind. The pilgrims mass was memorable there! It was great!

The picture here is of the tavern Venta Celta which is no longer affiliated with the hotel. It’s a charming Hospederia with a homey feeling, antique furniture, a friendly and welcoming host. No dinner or breakfast here and no laundry service either.

Checked in today with a worm welcome. the place is clean. It just happens that the weather is unseasonably cold. There is no heat!!! Plenty of blankets but cold. Ask for a room on the second floor if you want wifi to work.

Other than that it’s good!

-The Albergue is now called Albergueria Frade. The Albergue and restaurant are now under different owners. Still a beautiful location at the end of town, very friendly hostess, clean rooms
