We booked this for one of our stop. No regret even though Arzua is a bigger town. Very quiet and beautiful place. Wisepilgrim states that opening time is 1pm. Luckily we asked Heidi and confirm that is is 2 pm. We arrive around 2:30pm and Heidi put us in a room with a bunk bed. Small but super comfortable. Only thing is that the bath and shower in the main building which is not a problem because it wasn’t that cold. There are cats, dogs and chickens on the property and lots of apple trees. Dinner is served at 7 pm. It was simple and yet delicious with pumpkin soup, turkey meat cooked in gravel and rice. Would recommend this if you want something different.

We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful albergue, all restored by Heidi and her husband Rolf. Heidi has walked the Camino many times, once from Austria. The couple have beautiful animals, especially John Boy, a very silly stray who has become part of the family. Dinner was plentiful and great quality.

Small, quaint, a garden with lounge chairs,blooming roses, cats in the garden, dinner prepared, kept it at 4 in the room when there is 8 beds. What more coukd you want? She also has a private room with a bunk bed.
