The Road

Follow the road past the bar and small park, and when it forks keep to your right uphill on the narrower option. From here to Markina the camino twists and turns quite a bit. It is countryside walking all the way to Markina, where a steep descent brings you into the city from the north.

First time pilgrim and thought this was a great route. Spectacular views, good path surfaces. Nothing to be afraid of. As others say, just make sure you have enough food and drink

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

It's a long trek, need to be prepared with food and water. But nothing scary about it, just pace yourself when climbing. I'm a first timer on the Camino.

It’s a long way, and takes a long time because it’s so uphill. You start off by climbing a mountain that is 500m high. There are some scary patches along the way, difficult terrain.

We found it open on Friday. Water fountain was working.

Not sure if it was here but there was a place where the fountain was closed. Essentially from ibiri to Markina no service of any kind

It was closed so I could not eat.
I called and they said it opens in the weekend.
I put my tent behind the church and sleeped there before I go in the mountains.
Luckily I had fruits and nuts with me.

Camino de Sant…

This Casa Rural is closed. Not a nice surprise at all.
