Camino de Sant… (not verified)

We had reserved in the dorms here after seeing good reviews on booking. However the room was dirty and the mattresses were the worst. Fabric and covered in dirt with signs of bedbug infestation. Sheets didn’t smell very clean. Bunks had loads of dirt and debris in the slats. Obviously not cleaned very well. We then read more of the reviews on booking and see that it was only the private rooms that were very well reviewed and around 10 reviews of the dorms in the past year claimed seeing live bed bugs. We quickly decided not to stay and instead went to the municipal which was clean and well cared for.

The restaurant nearby was magical. Goog portions and their own beer.
Private room was clean and affordable ( 2023 45,-). Kitchen and washingmachines, and backyard with handwash possibility, enough of drying lines.
Would come again.

Camino de Sant…

Stayed in private room. Spacious but not very clean. Owner is a character and will talk your ear off. I would recommend new pension next door (same side of the road, east of this one).

Camino de Sant…

Good albergue- clean, good bunks, sheets/blankets, airy. Largest shower stall with good hot water. Good kitchen, lounge, nice stop

Camino de Sant…

Found two live bedbugs on my mattress. Showed them to the hospitalaros who just offered to move our bunks. We asked for our money back and stayed at the municipal. She didn’t seem very concerned about it and it blamed it on the pilgrims.

Camino de Sant…

Definitely open as I passed

Camino de Sant…

We got a private room here, must admit it was more humble in appearance than some other private accommodations we’ve had BUT was actually one of our best places to get rest from Le Puy- Santiago. The private rooms face away from the albergue and are I think made of cinder blocks, we heard nothing once in our room!!! and the bedding was awesome!!! a blanket within the sheets. Two of us agreed the best sleep in two months of hiking! This was my second Frances camino and both times I chose Ribidiso ( over Melide) for a million reasons but one being we love the local restaurant!!!!
