Camino de Sant…

October 2021, €12. I really love this Albergue. Traditional old atone farmhouse, so cosy and friendly and feels like arriving into a home - which was perfect after a 37km day from the Camino del Norte joining onto the Camino Frances. It’s the perfect place for the last night of Camino before walking into Santiago the next day.
Friendly communal dinner for €10. Not the best food ever, but the soup and fish were good. Then we all sat round a log fire comparing Camino stories whilst the lovely lady sorted all our laundry (great to get clothes washed at this point if you plan to extend your Camino to Finisterra after Santiago). I combined my laundry with 2 others and for €3 each woke up to clean and dry clothes, done for us.
The dormitory is lovely and I really appreciated the cotton sheets, blankets and towels.
The whole place feels traditional, authentic and a little bit secret. I would definitely return.
Being only 22kms from Santiago makes for the perfect final day distance, in my opinion - long enough to feel like you walk in, but short enough to arrive by lunch time and still have energy to explore the city for the afternoon, collect your Compostella and attend the evening pilgrim mass at 19:30pm.
