Camino de Sant…

It has a nice vibe. Beds are a bit cramped in and we got a bad choice by the door. Showers okay. There's a kitchen but only 2 gas rings to use. Nice coffee. It is what it is.

Camino de Sant…

Now bunkbeds cost 10 €. Only one shower, but nice garden.

Camino de Sant…

Albergue seems to be the side business and the main thing here is the bar where everyone from village comes in the evening. I was here on Saturday and it is very uncomfortable to hung your laundry right next to the people eating in the bar. I felt that I’m bothering them but the albergue doesn’t understand the problem. It is very noisy and every time you want to go out of albergue, you have to pass through the full bar. Also all the time it smells of food. The beds in the dormitory are cramped but at least because of Covid there are less people. Showers and bathroom are clean, hot water. Hospitalero was friendly and nice. It’s a pity that the huge bar kills the vibe.

Camino de Sant…

There is a room that doesn’t have the door, only a curtain and the only windows face the courtyard where there is a bard. It’s open till 10pm and later the staff stays to clean. It is impossible to sleep in this room. They have other rooms (with proper doors and windows facing outside) but even though I booked a place the day before, i got this room. If you stay here ask specifically for the room with doors that can be closed!

Camino de Sant…

But it's for sale, as of a few days ago.

Camino de Sant…

I had heard from other pilgrims that this was the best albergue in town. It’s not that great though. One big room with bunks up against each other. Maybe that’s fun if you know the person next to you but with strangers it’s a bit odd so I took a top bunk. 1 toilet, 2 showers for 15+ pilgrims. Staff was not friendly, abrupt and a little rude and inconvenienced, and had to remind them I wanted to order. I wanted to order a rice with veggies plate but not huge like I’d seen other groups get. The owner said “all the plates are large that’s all we do” so I said couldn’t there be a medium plate and she said no. So I said no thank you and went to the room to get my grocery bag and she found me and said she would do it for me. The food wasn’t great after all that.

Camino de Sant…

Showers slow to drain which was gross. Could hear critters scampering and chewing on stuff in the rafters so moved to a lower bunk.

Camino de Sant…

Dirty dorm room, I had to brush off dead bugs (flies etc not bed bugs!) from my bed. Had a top bunk with no steps/ladder and it was pushed up against my neighbour (like a double bed). Two showers, three toilets (1 unisex, 1 mens, 1 womens).
The owners are sweet and the courtyard is nice.
The town is absolutely lovely but if I came back I would stay in a private room somewhere.
