The Parada de Zuriain is the popular breakfast spot for pilgrims. Good food, artisan tortillas, and a deck overlooking the garden and riverside make it a fine spot.

The Road

The camino joins the main road here but not for more than 700m before turning left onto the first road. Along the road you are likely to find herds of spandexed cyclists. This stretch of asphalt was where Spain’s most famous cyclist Miguel Indurain trained to win his five Tour de France titles.

Camino de Sant…

I tried all the available phone numbers for this albergue and only got prerecorded messages that seemed to be saying in spanish that the number was not working. In other words, you cannot book a bed by phone and there is no
other way to book.

Camino de Sant…

Albergue was unfortunately closed today (April 4,2019) so didn’t get food or coffee until Villava. But heard this place is great when it’s open!

Camino de Sant…

A fantastic welcome at "La Parada"
Even though the Albergue is closed on a Wednesday, they kindly remained open for us four family members,as we had booked in advance.
They prepared a perfect pilgrim's meal for us in the evening, and were kind and accommodating. The beds were so comfortable and a simple breakfast was provided for us the next morning.
It truly was a wonderful welcome on our way to Logroño from Roncesvalles.
Many thanks,
