We wanted to sleep a night in Campobecerros but the albergue was closed so our only option was Casa Nuñez. We hesitated because of the not-so-positive reviews in this app, but after checking the beds and seeing no sign of bed bugs, we decided to stay. It seems the infestation happened in 2019 and is ancient history by now. The rooms were simple and outdated but clean and private. They served us a delicious and very inexpensive dinner and then breakfast in the morning. It’s a family that lives there and operates the establishment, and they were very kind with us.

Camino de Sant…

This place is catering to local workers. It is loud, the owners unfriendly and the rooms are cold. Pilgrims are treated without respect. Double room is 30€. No outdoor space.

Camino de Sant…

We were there on April 2019
We had bed box there. and it’s the same the owners are not really friendly . the albergue is much better !

Camino de Sant…

We canceled pour reservation there. We are glad we did. Two days later we met an Australian couple and the woman’s arms were a mess from all the bites.

Do yourself a favour. Give this place a wide berth. The incumbents are only interested in making money and certainly not trying warning help pilgrims have a reasonable stay in their place. I understand that in the time of Covid things work differently but these people have obviously been treating pilgrims the same for a long time. Its time to bypass them. This 'Casa Rural' should be removed or gave a large asterisk against its name warning pilgrims to stay clear. We arrived at 1.15pm and were told we couldn't get our room until the afternoon meals were completed. We said we would eat there but we didn't get into our freezing room until after 4pm. When asked about heating (this is November 4th) we were told maybe 6 or 7 pm before the heating would be on. The temperature today is 7 degrees Celsius. Absolutely ridiculous. My sister us 70 and I am 67 years old. If it wasn't another 15 kms to the next town we would have walked out but 23kns under our belts and we gave had no choice but to accept thus pathetic excuse for a Casa Rural. Its enough to stop me coming back to Spain ever again. Whilst I am having my say may I also add that the Spanish and Galician authorities have made no effort to ensure pilgrims such as us have any opportunity whatsoever to get a bed for the night in an Albergue Town. Most are closed and pilgrims are being left high and dry with nowhere to rest their heads. I am disgusted.
