I developed pretty horrible food poisoning after eating here a couple days ago and am still getting over it.. would consider avoiding or at least don’t order the chicken or the pasta!

We decided to break the climb into 2 by staying the night at La Faba. The albergue is a small one (8 beds I believe) with shared bathrooms. We stayed at the private room since it had exactly 2 beds for us.

Clean, simple space. The food downstairs at Tito's is good. We had the pilgrims menu and we couldn't finish the meal.

Overall good stay and it helped us get one third of the way up the O Cebreiro climb.

Food was delicious. Had gazpacho and the best ensalada mixta. Try the goat cheese toast !! Lovely setting and great service too!

Serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. I was there at 7.30 AM and they were open and served fresh croissants. Other people had eggs and bocadillos. Dinner is at 6.30 PM. I didn’t try it but other people told me that it’s good. David is very friendly as well.

We had a delicious lasagna today at Cafe Tito, great food, drinks and music playing. There was even room to sit inside as it was raining. Highly recommend.

Early morning breakfast of hand carved bacon with eggs! Superb!

We stayed at Albergue Ultreia La Faba and highly commend it. The German volunteers running it were delightful and the albergue clean and spacious with beautiful views. While there’s only 1 bar in town—the other burned down on New Years Eve—it had a tasty pilgrim’s meal. Additionally, the Albergue offered staples for use in their large kitchen for a donation (pasta, drinks, etc). The walk to Triacastela was nice from La Faba as well breaking up the 30 k recommended stage.

Cozy cafe. Fresh baked croissants still warm from the oven.
