What a pleasure to stay in this albergue. Lovely hospitaleras, very clean, real sheets. A very well supplied kitchen. And the breakfast was beautiful.
I highly recommend this albergue.

Camino de Sant…

This albergue is ranked no.1 on the VdlP (I presume out of the municipal/donativos). Certainly lives up to this - lovely welcome, 6 bedded rooms each with a shower, hot water for washing clothes, centrifuge, big kitchen and breakfast included. What more could a pilgrim want? (Er. maybe to sleep past 5:20. thanks to the pilgrims who woke the whole dorm up!)

Camino de Sant…

Yeah, fair enough, it's a good, solid Albergue, very functional. Personally, it lacks a bit more of a bohemian Camino vibe and therefore I would not give it a number one rating, but it's certainly good. What don't Albergue's provide bath/shower mats? They provide sheets here so a bath mat could be thrown in the wash as well. Expect a fair bit of rule guidance here as it's run as a tight ship - I was told more or less to consider giving generously as an introduction with a highlight being the 'excellent' mattresses - Maybe I landed a dud, but my rib cage wrestled all night with the bed springs that were seemingly busting to escape from thier mattress.

Camino de Sant…

Least favorite albergue so far. Very loud, poor ventilation and the staff waking all of the pilgrims very abruptly with lights and loud music at 06:30 was not pleasant. Aside from that, clean and cheap.

Camino de Sant…

Worst municipal so far on Vdlp. They don’t give blankets nor pillows supposedly b/c of COVID, ridiculous! All other albergues do. And this is although they check your temperature at entrance and make you wear your mask at all times! So over the top… and it’s freezing cold inside! Avoid it if you can afford a local hiatal rather.

Camino de Sant…

No idea what changed since the bad reviews below, but I stayed here in April 2022 and it was a great municipal, one of the best I have seen. Clean, fully equipped kitchen, in the center of Zamora, spinner for laundry, fresh cotton sheets (!!!), small rooms for a municipal (4-8 people), breakfast with toast, fruit and yogurt, friendly hospitaleros, comfy beds (not your usual municipal bed, but a really good bunk bed with ladder)
It was a bit cold, yes, but there was heating and ok, if it is full then bathrooms are a bit scarce. But they separate the bathrooms which as a woman is always a huge plus for me. And all that for the price that seems appropriate to you. Honestly, what more can you ask for.

Camino de Sant…

I loved it. The volunteers are so friendly and loving. The albergue is clean and looks very nice. Only downside was that the toilet did not have a lock. They offer free breakfast and almost didnt allow me to leave without eating something, just like my grandparents would. A great experience! Even though it runs on donations, pls dont be cheap. We need to cherish these places.
