Keep moving
The man was very hostile & told me to get out after I asked him if I could see my room. Don’t go here
Walk on by - very unfriendly and sourfaced reception
If you stay here, make sure you order their dinner and breakfast. If you don’t, be prepared to be treated accordingly!
I would not stay in Cirueña again and certainly not here, it was very hostile towards anyone not having purchased their ‘extras’ - worst camino stay by far for me
Off the path but good
I felt I was lost and then I finally got here and it was nice. Washed my clothes and dried them out front. They have a garage with vending machines which held me over until dinner. I was in a room with many beds and the people started waking at 430!! Wth ? They made dinner and it was very good. The place was very clean.
Pension Standard, good food
I stayed here som days ago. I got a upper bunk in a bedroom with four beds. There were sheets on the bed and they where firm and broad. The dinner was good and portions were large. There were different options for different prices. we were only about 14 people and all had dinner together. The couple cooked the dinner and also prepared the breakfast. Possible to wash and dry clothes.
Good stay
Not much here. But the alberque was clean and room was nice. If you want a quiet stay alone, very comfy. Loved the one bar around corner. Super nice folks for lunch, dinner and breakfast next morning as they are open by 6.
MAY have got bed bugs here
Please note I wrote the previous comment and I have just learned I may have gotten bed bugs the night before my stay here, I am not familiar with bed bugs & how it all works but apparently it could have been either. I did not see signs of bed bugs at this albergue when I checked, just felt the first signs here.
Lovely stay but got bed bugs
Everything was great, food, price, service & organisation however I felt itchy all day after staying here last night. No one else I know who stayed there the same night did and we had a great time on the whole however I have had to go through the process of de-bed bugging just in case, which is not fun. Neither is itching all day.
Quirky Alberge
A quirky Alberge in an unlikely looking place in a ‘one horse town’, but perfectly good. Was well organised and friendly. Only one place to eat in the town, but that was practically around the corner. Decent food there too.
Happy to have stayed here.
it does NOT have a kitchen..
.. at least not for public use. also, there are two different options for dinner and breakfast where you can pay more and get more. i have not seen this in any other albergue yet and it makes it feel like they are very keen to get money.
Aleksis
Good place to stay. I paid 12 euros for a bed and 12 euros for dinner. Bank cards are accepted.
Clean and Comfortable
Nice family. Hard to communicate in either English or French. When I accidentally double booked I couldn’t make myself understood .
Very clean. We had 8 people
Very clean. We had 8 people to one bathroom which was a bit of a challenge as all needed to use it at the same time but we managed.
A converted home with the
A converted home with the family enlisted as the help. Communal dinner was good but had to pay extra for a glass of wine. Breakfast of toast and coffee. Bunk beds were comfortable and the place seemed clean.
Dinner was pretty basic, but
Dinner was pretty basic, but the place is charming and comfortable.
Paid 11€ for a cery basic
Paid 11€ for a cery basic dinner, not worth it as a vegetarian but they were attentive to make sure they didn’t put meat on my salad. The home is nice and the bathroom is super clean.
September 2021
Clean and comfortable. It is a bit off of the Camino at the end of the road. The hosts do not speak any English so it was difficult to make the reservation, but all in all they were nice. There is not much in this town except the golf course and condos.
Dinner at this albergue was basic
Frienly people and good beds, but dinner was luke warm with water included. Wine had to be bought which is a bit unusual…
Very nice family run!
Ciruena is a charmless town but casa Victoria was a small, exceptionally well run albergue with very charming hosts. Highly recommend staying here.
