Castet-Arrouy means red castle in Gascon, after the small fort that once stood here. The oval village plan suggests medieval fortification origins.

The Eglise Sainte-Blandine has a Gothic octagonal bell tower completed in 1546 and choir murals painted by Paul Noel Lasseran in 1901, featuring a fantastical bestiary that's worth a look. Near the village, the La Peyronelle farm has signage indicating it was a 13th-century pilgrim field hospital on the road to Santiago.

Very limited services. About 5 km from Lectoure, with a steep climb ahead.
