Stayed here last night. No bed bugs, no bite marks on my body.
Clean house and friendly hosts.

Sorry to have to post this but feel more loyalty to pilgrims than to the albergue. Last night (29 July 2024) was horrible due to bites from bed bugs and mosquitoes. Plus the upstairs of the Albergue was extremely hot. The hostelería was informed and i showed her the squashed bodies of the bed bugs. Hopefully they will take corrective action on this.
The rest of the hostel is ok - food is fine and clean linen sheets and pillow cases supplied. Showers were hot.
I will not revisit this hostel. We have been on the del Norte way for 7 weeks and this is our first such incident.

The website linked here takes you to the website of an albergue in Ferreira, earlier up the route.

That said, this albergue is peaceful and pleasant, nice bar on site with sangria. A good choice!

After staying in busy town this quiet setting was a welcome stay with pilgrim menu to keep it simple. Nicely arranged bunk area with real sheets, own outlet and shelf. .

Ice cold showers, basic amenities. Booked two beds assuming we would be together but only upper bunks left when we arrived. Others had claimed all the lower bunks, even when travelling together. Very difficult going up and down the ladder as a 50 year old after walking for 25 days.

Beautiful building but otherwise not memorable.

Visited end of October.

Albergue is a short walk away from the Camino road. Enter through the restaurant to get to the albergue. Liked the high ceiling and openness of the room. Only one toilet in the women's restroom (apart from the disability restroom), two showers with warm enough water. I felt the light in the restroom was dim, especially when showering.

The nearest local market is a 10 minute walk. They sell hardware, basic chips/drinks. Basic menu options in the restaurant/albergue. Think 15€ is a bit pricey than what I'm used to for an albergue.

It was so quiet, clean and staff were friendly. The bathroom even had a hairdryer - what a luxury. They have reasonably priced food at the bar. One of my best Albergue experiences on the way

Great little albergue that has everything you need, even a heated floor in the hallway, finally managed to dry my shoes! 😂
The albergue has 2 floors, all facilties on the ground floor, in the ground floor room there is about 6 bunk beds, very spacious, high ceilings, lockers present. To exit the albergue you must go back out of the entrance in the bar, which is also the reception, very nice lady.
