This is what’s noted on the doors ~ places where you should check in depending on the time you arrive:
11:00 - 14:00 tourist office
15:00 - 18:00 tourist office
18:00 - 20:00 albergue
20:00 -21:00 (21:30) police office
Sundays/holidays ~ hours may differ
Today I got there 19:15 and got the bed 55/56, just for your info…

Beds had single use sheets, but had no blankets, so make sure to bring a sleeping bag or a lot of warm clothes.
We arrived 4.30 pm and got bed 37 and 38 of 56 (place didn’t get filled up, but heard from others it was full a couple days later)

We arrived early so had lunch and then walked back, only to discover that we had pay and get door code at the tourist centre. 8 euros is a great price. No blankets or food, but the restaurant across the street is open in the morning.

We ran here from Orio and arrived by 2:50pm, we went straight to the tourist office (don’t go to the albergue if it’s before 2pm or after 3pm) waited outside until 3 to check in. 8e each and I think they accept only card payment. We got bed number 23th and 24th. And I think by 5 it was completely full because A LOT of people want to stay here. If you missed this, you can go up the mountain a bit more to go to Izarbide for another 5km

The Albergue is okay by itself. But the whole process is painfull. A lot of people want to be here, so you need to be early. The registration takes a very long time. At night you are disturbed by the traffic lights (the horrible sound) and trains. It is full of other pilgrims with no air conditioning, so it is very hot at night.

Checked in at tourist information and got given code and bed was assigned. Excellent cafe across the road which was also open early

The albergue is easy to find at the train station, but access can be a bit tricky;
Before 2pm you have to go to the local turist information. It's located next to the church, and signs are easy enough to follow.
From 2pm to 3pm the turist information is closed, but the albergue is now staffed.
After 3pm the turist information is open again, and the albergue prefer that you go there for payment and such.

The place well staffed and the facilities are good. Trains rarely pass the station at night, but if you have a room facing the street instead, a local traffic light will act as your alarm clock at 4am if you have the window open.

Good location. Clean €8. Can not hear the trains even though staying above the train station. A few places within a few blocks to eat.

Simple albergue with very kind hospitaleros. Somewhat odd as it is located in the train station. If you arrive late, go straight to the door on the far end of the station and buzz in. May have seen a bed bug but I am not certain and would stay again.

Register and pay at tourist office- super fun albergue. Only a mini fridge, no kitchen
