Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Have been warned by multiple people that one of the current hosts makes uncomfortable comments about women and that he has behaviors that does not feel safe for anyone

Camino de Sant…

Still a lovely place. Hospitaleros are now a young couple (Pilar & Jesús) who are very helpful and accommodating. Bunk & Menu del Día €12 each also options to eat a range of individually-priced dishes in the bar, which serves food throughout the day until 9pm. Very clean, heated, comfortable, with separate room for Peregrinos to relax. Washer & dryer, €4 each.

Camino de Sant…

Possibly the best albergue that I have stayed in during my whole Camino. Very comfortable beds. The evening meal was delicious and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended

Camino de Sant…

This is s small elbergue with restaurant with fantastic service. Single beds. Only 3 in a room. Nice clean and great service.

Camino de Sant…

I made a decision to stop here because the Camino has changed since Sarria and is like walking in a parade. I needed to break from the crowd and am so glad I did! This place is gorgeous and relaxing for reading or napping in gardens under trees. Plus since it was a short day from Portomarín, I decided to take a lovely pack-free walk up to the small church nearby. It felt like a vacation day on the Camino. As for facilities: the shower is amazing (give it time to warm up), WiFi is strong, beds are comfortable and they offer free filtered water from their own well. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices and the people who run it are very nice. I highly recommend this albergue for anyone wanting to leave the crowds for a bit and get some true rest.

Camino de Sant…

Was closed on september 20th 2020, perhaps because of corona

Camino de Sant…

Stayed here and September 2021. Very clean and quiet place. They have good food and a lovely patio and backyard to enjoy. No kitchen for pilgrims to use but they had a hot water kettle.

Camino de Sant…

The building itself is lovely, the dorm is clean and well appointed, however our experience was not nice because the host made us feel unwelcome. The shower overflowed because the drain was clogged and needed maintenance but instead of taking responsibility he blamed a pilgrim for letting the water overflow. It was a cold and rainy night in late October and there was no heat inspite of the presence of wood stoves and heaters. He wouldn’t let us have dinner until all pilgrims were ready to eat at the same time. The. He told us to leave the dining room, and then when we sat in the living room to drink tea and chat the host became angry and slammed doors. At 8:00 in the morning when we came down stairs all the lights were off and there was no breakfast offered. All and all we felt that the host should not be open for visitors if he can not provide polite service.
