One of the more unique albergues, it is operated by an Italian confraternity.

Highly recommend a stop at this beautiful ermita. With a warm welcome from the Italian hospitaleros, and only 12 pilgrims, we knew it would be a fabulous night. We shared a communal dinner with lots of pasta and some wine from a local farmer. Followed by some guitar playing and singing. All by candlelight in a beautiful 13th century ermita (no electricity). Such a wonderful experience.

One of my favorites on the Camino! Only 12 beds, with no electricity, the accommodations are simple but warmed by monks and a "house mother" who care for pilgrims with kindness and encouragement. My best night's sleep in six weeks of walking and one of the best meals. I felt safe...even protected here. As if the spirits of the Knights Templar that built this church still kept watch over the pilgrims that stayed the night here.
